Leah Goodman is member of the inaugural cohort of the Collegiate Mental Health Innovation Council created by Mental Health America.

Course facilitates the development of skills to enhance wellbeing and academic success. It focuses on the day-to-day self-management required to function positively as a student, teaching skills such as goal setting, or social-emotional learning.

Impact indicators
  • 90% of students who took the course feel significantly more confident in their abilities and their capacity to self-manage physical health, emotional health, and academic performance.
  • All students reported to have: successfully acquired new skills; enhanced confidence and personal control; and increased social and peer support among others.
  • After demonstrating success of the course, Leah Goodman was hired to continue teaching it at the University.
